Welcome to Career Prep's Art Class!
The students will work on a weekly sketch, a blog entry, as well as pictures of the their work on their personal websites. The students will produce a coloring book this year, as well as a painting later in the year.

Drawing/Painting
This class will introduce the student to the elements and principles of art. It will help the student understand concepts such as one point, two point, and atmospheric perspective. Through various exercises the student will become more skilled at drawing. The class will get to experience working with acrylic paints as well.
The course will include working with the materials used in drawing and painting, and keeping record of everything they do in class (an online portfolio/website).

Expectations
The student will be expected to be to class on time, ready to work, with all needed materials. Students are required to do the work, and keep up with the pace of the class to ensure a passing grade. Students will be required to do all sketchbook work outside of class to maximize work time on classroom projects.
